Trip home again

So first off, I'm Engaged!! It happened when Cody and I went home to visit my family. We had so much fun and we were so busy.

To start, Chantiel told me while I was at the airport, that Cody was having my ring made when we got back from Cali. So I was all excited that I had a time frame. I told her later that she's a dirty rotten liar. :)
The first day everyone was home, we went to the river and panned for gold and swam (except Richard who called in sick to work and laid around like a baby, j/k). So we're swimming and about ready to go when Cody calls me over to where he was. Around an outcropping of rock and behind a bush. I had just dried off and didn't want to get wet, so of course I said, no you come here. Seriously though, rocks in the river are covered with moss and stuff that makes them dangerous for someone like me to walk on if you want to stay dry. "Hayley come on, I wanna show you something", "No, I don't want to get wet again and you know I'll fall in!", "PLEASE come here", "FINE, but if I get wet again, it's all your fault." So I walk over, and no joke, he has to catch me as I get there cause I slipped on a rock... called it. Then he pulls out his gold pan and says, look what I found. And in the pan is a ring. I was freaking out. He got down on his knees (cutting them up in the process) and asked if I'd marry him. YES OF COURSE was my response. Then we eventually walked back to the fam, and I'm wet again. But who cares, I'm getting married!



The next day we (minus sick Richard again) met my cousin Steysi and her hub and kids at Six Flags "Discovery Kingdom". That was a good day! Roller Coasters, pizza, Whales, Dolphins, Ice Cream, and family. Mom got kicked off a kids only ride when she tried to ride with Jack. Heather got reprimanded for riding one ride while pregnant, so that didn't happen again. And no one threw up! Good times.

The next day was Heather's baby shower. I have no pictures from that, but it was fun too. I love baby things! Everytime we passed a baby, mom would say, "we're gonna have one of those soon!" yes, Heather will, we won't :)
Then when I got back to Utah, I went to work 2 days then got the Strep my brother had and I laid in bed for a few days taking drugs and not eating food and wishing I could sleep till I felt better. not so good times. But I'm finally better now, that's why you get my exciting news just a little late.
