May Home Visit

I'm at home in California. I love being here. The world is green and smells so fresh like pine trees and rain! especially since it's been raining... I've been here for 6 days and I have to go back to Utah in 3 days. That'll be a sad day. But I guess that's what I get for having moved to Utah in the first place. Cody came for a few days too. That was fun. He, my mom and I went gold panning for a few hours in the rain. I guess they panned, and I read a book. They didn't find anything good. We'll try again when it's warmer. I'll be back end of summer ready to get rich! when the water is tolerably warm.

and this is just another of the mountains

On Monday, my cousin's husband brought their kids over for dinner with the grandparents and I went in the hot tub with the kids. The oldest, Tommy, jumped in the pool, the very very cold pool. Then he went down the slide. So the next oldest decided he wanted to go down the slide, without telling me. So I had to jump in the pool, the very very cold pool, to help him to the side after he unexpectedly went down the slide, and couldn't swim... good times... very cold... So after that he didn't want to go in the pool anymore. But Tommy wanted to see me go down the slide. So since I was already cold, I decided to go before getting back in the hot tub. I went down the slide and back into the very very cold water. Then I get out and head back to the hot tub to warm my numb body. Tommy yells from the hot tub, I missed it! Do it again! Do it again! So reluctantly, I went back down the slide... Into the water that is so cold, you can't talk, because you can't really breathe!! Finally I headed back in to the hot tub and didn't get hypothermia. Happy day.

this is the pool that we were in, the hottub is about 10 feet above the pool

So that's home! I love it! I hope to get back to California sometime soon.

Movie Adventure

A week and a bit ago, Cody and I went to the movies. We watched Clash of the Titans in 3D. So about half way through the movie I had to use the bathroom. So I took off my (oh so attractive) 3D glasses. (And by oh so attractive, I mean really hideous) I put them in my purse and left. When I came back, I grabbed them out of my purse and put them back on. A few minutes later, I started noticing that the movie's 3D started sucking and it was kinda blurry sometimes. Weird! And then it was really dark in the theater sometimes too. I was super disappointed in the effects. Then after the movie, we "recycle" the 3D glasses in a big box they have. When we got back to my house, I pulled out my sunglasses. Lo and Behold, there were the 3D glasses... oh crap! I had watched the entire second half of the movie with my sunglasses... I'm such a retard! So where are my sunglasses, I can't find them... Holy Moly I recycled them in the movie theater bin! Oh lameness. That's kinda my train of thought during the realization process. It was a sad day. Luckily the sunglasses I lost were $5 Walmart glasses. So I went back to Walmart and bought another pair. That's what happens when you're me, you get to tell stories like this to your friends when they ask how your weekend was...

Ok so my blog is still brand new! I’ll get some pictures up and stuff when I have time, and when I feel like it. I can tell you a bit about me if you don’t know me, or haven’t talked to me in a while. I’m from California mostly; I went to High school there, and that’s where my parents live. Northern Cali, so no I don’t surf and lay on the beach all day when I’m home. I wish! I’m mostly a boat load of boring! I live in Utah but I’m trying to get out of here. It’s too cold for me. I have a couple friends I hang out with and a boyfriend. Everyone I know is married, most with kids, so I tend not to see or talk to them much. I hang out with Cody most days, like I have the last 3 years and 3 months. I don’t do much; eat, and watch TV & movies. Like I said, I’m boring- but I like it.

My family is great. I have an older sister, Heather, who’s married and pregnant! They live up in Albany, OR. It’s really nice up there. They’re trying to get my whole family to migrate that direction. Maybe one day… we’ll see. My younger sister graduated recently from BYU with a degree in Genetics and Biotechnology. Sounds important right? She’s in Germany for a few months at a lab doing genetics testing. My brother is the youngest of us and he’s in the middle of school up at BYU in freezing cold Idaho. From how he talks, he’ll probably get the same degree as my sister. He thinks it’s all interesting. And it is, if you can understand it… sometimes I can. They’re all awesome, really they are. My parents are great. Dad’s a doctor, OB/GYN, so you just don’t ask how work was unless you care for an explanation you wish you hadn’t gotten.  Love you dad! He Mountain bikes and races tiny Go-Karts at high speeds in his spare time. Mom is his business manager. She is on a tennis team that kicks butt and she likes to talk to her kids in her spare time. She’s a busy woman though. They’re really the coolest people.
